Alli wants to help African Americans get slim

To each his own, but I hear that Alli can cause greasy booty, mud butt…loose booty stool…you know what I’m saying…if you don’t eat the right amount of fat.  Too much fat = oily stool.  That doesn’t seem like a good fit for African Americans to me.  We like grease.  Ribs, fat back, oil.  Of course, you shouldn’t be eating a whole lot of fatty food if you want to lose weight, but if you slip up you don’t wanna have uncontrollable runs at work or while you’re out on a date.  LOL  I’m just saying.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 13, 2008 — Ambient Planet knows how to reach the target consumer. That’s why alli™, the only FDA approved, over-the-counter weight loss product, chose Ambient Planet to be their “alli” to launch their out of home advertising campaign. Destination Media Group handled the media buy and chose Ambient Planet to take advantage of their extensive beauty salon billboard network.

alli™ specifically requested to be put in their African American network of beauty salons from research demonstrating that African American audiences spend up to three times more time and money on beauty related products. With alli™ in the market as a the new weight loss phenomenon, this statistic was their deciding factor on choosing to advertise strictly to this demographic — reaching a consumer that statistically is more likely to try their new weight loss product.

The program features interior billboards and counter displays with take one brochures that will run in the top African American markets. Ambient Planet’s network of African American beauty salons and barber shops deliver venues that are located in areas offering a 60 percent AA populace. These venues also offer specialty services such as braiding, dread locking and weaving, which can take up to 4 hours to complete, offering a vital avenue for alli’s™ message to really sink in to a beauty conscious customer …

Ambient Planet is the leader when it comes to advertising in Beauty Salons and Barber Shops with over 5,000 locations nationwide, and reaching an average of 7,500,000 customers monthly. In addition to this network Ambient Planet has just created an exclusive alliance with Regal Nails — a nail salon chain that is located inside Wal-mart stores nationwide.

So if you wanna reach black folks you need to advertise in beauty salons, nail salons, and barber shops?!?!  Did you catch that, Negro?  Note to self.
