Noose Found on UC San Diego Campus as Racial Tentions Continue

You know it’s a racial incident when a noose is found.  A noose.  That lasting symbol of white supremacy.   When someone puts a noose up…”them’s fighting words”.

According to Huffington Post, last night, a noose was found hanging on a light in the campus library, according to the UC Regents (Live)blog. A female student admitted to placing the noose there today. This incident comes after the “Compton Cookout” Black History Month drama that we’ve been following here on Hello, Negro.  Photo of the noose comes from http://ucregentlive.wordpress.com

“This is truly a dark day in the history of this university,” Chancellor Marye Anne Fox told students gathered along Library Walk. “It’s abhorrent and untenable.”

I say, America, hate is on your doorstep.  You need to let it in and have a conversation about what is and is  not to be tolerated in YOUR house.  To the students at UC San Diego, I suggest that you band together.  Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern…an injustice to one is an injustice to all and the eyes of the nation are upon you.  Sometimes the young have to be the example of and change and evolution of thought for the old, for the establishment.

Race and Sex: South Carolina Teacher Student Scandal

Again…I have to say it.  I don’t want to say it, but I have to.

What the hell is wrong with these White Women who continue to mess with these little boys!!!  Come on!!!  If this was a black man taking advantage of white children…he’s be put under the jail.  This is the second case in a year’s time.  In both cases the teachers got some real TIME instead of the standard white-privilege slap on the wrist that I’ve seen in other cases.

In Laurens County, S.C., where the tawdry topic of teacher-student sex is drawing far more attention than any of the townsfolk would like, there’s another issue being whispered out of earshot of the TV cameras – the issue of race.

In Laurens County , a northern South Carolina community of about 10,000 residents – 54 percent of whom are White and 44 percent of whom are Black – Tuesday’s jailing of 24-year-old Allenna Ward for six years marked the second imprisonment of a White female teacher for sex crimes against Black boys in less than a year.

Wendie Ann Schweikert, a former elementary school teacher, began serving a 10-year sentence in June for having sex with an 11-year-old Black boy.

Ward, the daughter of a preacher, admitted to having sex at the school where she taught, a park, a motel and a restaurant after school officials found a note she had written to one of the boys. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison for each of three counts of lewdness against the 14- and 15-year-old boys, but they were reduced to six years in prison, to run concurrently. – BET

Video: Teacher calls student “Nigga”

Here’s a video I saw last year that is more evidence why Black people should not casually use the N-word around other races. “Here is something you can’t understand…”

Black Deaf Student beaten: KKK and swastikas written on him

WJLA.com reports: D.C. police are investigating a possible hate crime at a high school for the deaf on the campus of Gallaudet University. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says a black student was held against his will for about an hour early Sunday in a dorm room by other students at the Model Secondary School for the Deaf.

Lanier says the students used a marker to write ‘KKK’ and draw swastikas on the student. They then let him go and he contacted authorities.

She says police have identified seven suspects in the incident. She says six of the suspects are white and one is black.

Lanier says the school has fully cooperated with the investigation.

Gallaudet University Provost Stephen Weiner says the student, who was not identified, is at home with his parents.
